Vipassana meditation is a
precious treasure of Buddhism that helps countless people to find out their
true nature, from ancient time up to now and future as well. This practice is
an essential and basic method in Buddhism, regardless tradition one follows. Siddhārtha
Gautama based on this practice to attain Buddhahood, became a Buddha in this
world, the Enlightened One who had left a great legacy to human beings. His
teachings are very helpful for those who want to get out of sufferings, get out
of restlessness in their lives. Everybody, regardless class, gender, caste, and
condition, etc. can benefit from practicing the Buddha’s teachings, applying Dharma

Knowing and experiencing benefits
from practicing Vipassana meditation, a Jail Management Board in Bihar State,
India gave their prisoners an opportunity to practice Vipassana meditation.
They held a 10-day course Vipassana meditation at meeting hall of the jail.
This course created positive changes in prisoners beyond expectations of management
board. Many prisoners transformed their habits, their thoughts. Most emotional
scene is the time of saying goodbye to teachers, some prisoners hugged their
